2011 Fall Season

I can't believe the 2011 Fall Season got started last week. I'm very excited about being able to be a part of this entire school year from start to finish as opposed to last year, where I started right in the middle of it.  As our new school year gets going I just want to give a quick overview of what we are doing in our youth ministry.

Thursday Night Worship - This is our weekly big group gathering. This year we are going through a study on the book of Jonah. We will be taking the majority of the school year to dive into a deep study on this book, with periodic breaks to do special events or topics. While I was studying and preparing for this series, someone recommended a book on Jonah that has been so amazing and informative that I would like to recommend it to you. The book is called Surprised by Grace written by Tullian Tchividjian and has been a great resource for me as I study the book of Jonah.

Sunday Night Small Groups- Our students meet twice a month for age and gender specific small groups. This year our small groups will be going through a very popular book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan. Our students will be reading it, watching his DVD curriculum, hearing our staff teach on it and going through the small group study guide each time they meet. We are so exited to see our our students step up to the challenge of loving God with a crazy bold love.
